The property is a one-story structure built in 1937 as a retail store. It is located on the southwest corner of Madison Street and 14th Avenue on Capitol Hill. The property was renovated in 2001 for use as a nightclub named Chop Suey. ERV acquired the Chop Suey Building as a long-term hold in 2005.
