In the heart of historic Ballard sits two-adjoined, pioneer houses originally owned by Doc Maynard in the mid-1800s. They are believed to be Seattle’s oldest, intact residential properties. The two houses were moved from the International District to Ballard Avenue in the 1970s. ERV purchased the properties in 2014 and renovated the buildings into a neighborhood restaurant. San Fermo, an Italian restaurant, opened its doors in spring of 2016.
